NGM Week Dates: September 8-14, 2013
Zechariah 9:16-17 The Message
"Their God will save the day. He'll rescue them. They'll become like sheep, gentle and soft, Or like gemstones in a crown, catching all the colors of the sun. Then how they'll shine! shimmer! glow! the young men robust, the young women lovely!"
The national Girls Ministries Department (NGM) offers churches two resources to emphasize and celebrate all girls. The 2013 NGM Week is September 8-14. The annual theme is "Shine, Shimmer, Glow" supported by Zechariah 9:16-17. This theme can be used as a focus for the entire year or for an event during NGM Week or other Girls Ministries events. The purpose is to help church leaders mentor girls with God's truth in the midst of our over-sexualized culture, teaching them to take time to develop their relationship with God and recognize the true source of beauty.
